I bought this T-Fal Professional Cookware set locally at a smokin’ sale price several months ago and have been very favorably impressed with it – it provides a decently even temperature across the bottom of the skillet/pot and washes (by hand, of course!) very easily. What many do not know is that T-Fal introduced non-stick cooking to America back in the late 60′s (or was it 1970?). Yes, I’m that old and I still remember the excitement of my first non-stick skillet! I’ve owned various brands of low to mid-range priced cookware over the years and I keep coming back to cookware made by T-Fal or Wearever. Now, I’ve learned they have merged -so I’ll be interested to see how that works out. In the meantime, our family just took a LEAP INTO THE FUTURE of cooking by buying a Max Burton Induction Cooktop (by Athena). Thought this was better than spending $2,000+ for a new 4/5 burner induction cooktop to replace our dying 70′s ceramic cooktop. This gives us a chance to see if we like induction cooking while also watching the prices drop. I will review the Max Burton on Amazon after I’ve used it for a couple of weeks as it’s sold here also. BUT, IMAGINE MY DELIGHT to find that this particular set of T-Fal cookware works on INDUCTION COOKTOPS! Oh, happy day! (FYI – the jumbo fryer sold separately, unfortunately, does not.) I recommend this set to anyone who is realistic about their expectations of cookware in this price range and to those who are willing to give their cookware TLC – no metal utensils or scrubbers – no soaking – bubblewrap between the pieces when storing. Yes, I’m a bit of a fuss-budget but, as a result, I don’t have to replace my cooking gear that often which leaves a little money now and then to splurge on newer, innovative gadgets I see here on Amazon all the time! Good luck with your decision making!

This set was featured at Costco about 10 years ago. Since I do most of the cooking in our house, I splurged on what was a quite costly set for us and have been more than happy with it.
Plusses:
- With this featured set plus a Wearever 3 liter deep skillet, and a Wearever wok (all came with the Costco set), I always have the right size cookware for any stove top job.
- Heavy metal bottoms distributes heat better than any cookware I’ve ever owned, including top of the line RevereWare.
- The Teflon coating is extremely tough, long lasting, and very non-stick. Unlike another reviewer here, I’ve not babied the Teflon coating in any way, including stirring with metal utensils. Yet only the two saucepans are ready for replacement after about a decade of heavy use,
- The handles stay cool.
- All the pieces are extremely well balanced. They “feel right”.
- Pan lids fit the skillets.
- The lids can be hung from hooks with their “U” shaped handles .
Minuses:
- It’s hard to find the two replacement pieces, a 2 liter and a 4 liter saucepan. I really don’t want any other brand because I know these are great. If I have to buy a whole new complete set so be it.
- I couldn’t live without the wok for stir-fry and deep skillet for simmering pasta sauce or making chicken cacciatore. To me, this set isn’t quite complete without them. Kohl offers a bigger set under the T-Fal name.
If you buy this set, you’ll be happily living with it for a very long time.

We purchased this cookware after reading the above review stating that it works on induction cooktops AND after it came up under a search for “induction cookware”. Well, after waiting way too long for this to arrive (it took acehardware outlet over a week to ship it out) we found that it does not, in fact, work on induction. The box itself states that it is “suitable for all heat sources except induction.” They are hard anodized aluminum.
Overall, the cookware seemed nice enough – nice comfy grips, not-too-heavy, and glass lids. They just aren’t what we were hoping for.

The little woman says she loves these pans. The coating does not peel off. I was getting tired of buying and throwing away pans because their non stick surface was in my dinner. This set has a heavy bottom that cooks food faster than the regular pans. These pans are non stick on the outside also and are very easy to clean. I would have paid much more for this quality but these were quite reasonable to me. The red dot in the middle is a nice added touch to a very good set of pans. The lids fit perfectly and have the little breather hole. I think they are a nice looking set also.

Product was as stated when we recieved it. We have always tried to buy and use T-Fal when we could. Vendor did deliver product when they said they would. We are very happy with them and will buy from them again.

I LOVE MY SCAN PANS! THEY ARE THE BEST PANS I HAVE EVER OWNED AND I WOULDN’T TRADE THEM FOR ANYTHING. I HAVE A SECOND FRYING PAN AND ENJOY MAKING OMELETS IN ONE AND POTATOES OR PANCAKES IN THE OTHER. NOTHING STICKS TO THEM SO YOU CAN USE LESS OIL. AND THEY DON’T CHIP OR SCRATCH. MY HUSBAND SAYS THAT THE FOOD EVEN LOOKS NICER SINCE IT SLIDES OFF THE PAN. AND, I DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE TOXINS IN TEFLON PANS, WHICH CAN CAUSE URINARY TRACK INFECTIONS OR KILL CANARIES! (SEE TEFLON PANS ON DR.MERCOLA.COM.) I HAD A HARD TIME DECIDING BETWEEN THE PROFESSIONAL OR THE CLASSIC SET. BUT, I DID LIKE THE HANDLES ON THE PROFESSIONAL PANS. EITHER WOULD BE NICE.

I make my living as a professional chef and for a long time I worked for a large equipment manufacturer that happens to run a retail location. Scanpan was amongst other fun kitchen objects, but I didn’t give this product much thought because we were told to really PUSH our manufacturer’s cookware. So one day the distributor came in to educate us as staff about ScanPan and gave us a 10 inch fry pan. I took it to our lakehouse to be used as a knockabout pan and after my first use I have one word for ScanPan – WOW!
Because this is a titanium based pan it won’t flake so it’s not like cooking on a teflon surface, I can use metal on the pan itself and not damage it. It cleans like a dream come true because nothing sticks – NOTHING. And it cooks like a dream, evenly and consistently.
So that’s my story. I ditched the all aluminum cookware my mother had left me and replaced it with the 5 peice set. As for icing on the cake I discovered that the two metal lids that were included with the set worked beautifully on the 10 inch fry pan(They also have ventilation holes which whistle when your water comes to a boil). I chose the 5 piece set because it can do anything and everything. I am glad I chose the professional series because the set comes with handle mits – the handles are ergonomically fitted, don’t transfer heat due to proper engineering, and can go from stovetop to oven without my worrying about a plastic handle melting like in the classic series.
Bottom line: You don’t have to be a professional chef to afford or appreciate this great set of pots and pans and they’ll last a lifetime. This is hands down the best set of cookware I have ever used.

Just got them today, box says “Professional Total Nonstick” as advertised but no thermo-spot as stated on Amazon. Not a big deal for me I needed to replace an old set of T-Fal I’ve had since 1995, nonstick is wearing out. I got a set of Calphalon Kitchen Essentials about 5 years ago and hate them, they should have been labeled “All Stick”!

Wrong item not even offered by Goodman’s where shipped from. Sent me some cheaper version of T-fal cookware.

Ater 20 or so years, had to throw out my old T-Fall set. Bought this. Very well made, sturdy, looks good, cooks great. Clean-up no problem. Like the glass lids, they fit perfect, (not suppose to fit on pans) really like the T-Fall products. However the re-bate deal is somewhat a joke.

I totally love this cookware. It cooks great and cleanup is a snap. They also are a very nice looking set of cookware. The sizes fit most of your cooking needs.

I’ve used these pots and pans for about a year now and they are non-stick, but probably not the best. I don’t have anything to base this premise on except the fact that I believe it to be so. The pots and pan do, however, bend very easily and on the same token can be bent back very easily, but you never seem to bend them quite back to where they first were. Also the rivets are not non-stick and have a tendency to get food stuck to them. Overall, I’d have to say that this is a very inexpensive, yet good quality set. Probably better bang for your buck than the more expensive brands.

We’ve used Scanpan nonstick cookware for a couple of years now, and these are the best nonstick we’ve ever had. They last (and remain nonstick) ever so much longer than anything else we’ve owned, even under heavy (almost daily) use. They can if needed go into the oven up to about 400 or so degrees, lovely if you want to brown a fish or meat and finish it up in the oven. The fabric handle cover (no, don’t put that in the oven) works well although I’ve never needed it on the stove. And you don’t have to be paranoid about plastic utensils. Highly recommended.

We have several pieces of Scanpan Cookware. Beyond a doubt, these are the best non-stick cookware on the market.

My husband bought me a set of these pans five years ago to replace everything non stick we had due to my parakeet being killed by the nonstick toxins.. I have really enjoyed the pans, although they are heavy.. But.. I realized fairly recently the bottom has separated on my biggest frying pan, and soon I won’t be able to use it. I am going to check and see what the warranty is/was. I hope it was lifetime. In any event.. I would be cautious about buying them again. BTW.. I have only used these pans on gas ranges. the rest of them are fine, but they haven’t had the use the big frying pan has. I use this pan once or twice a week..but since it is classed as professional, I would have thought it would stand up to constant daily use, which I haven’t done.

The original version of this cookware was of very reasonable quality for the price. They were thicker, they transmit the heat better and were better shaped. These new ones have the same finsh or look but they are not as well constructed. Compared to the older ones they are tin like. Pots now have a narrower taller and bell like design which looks to be borrowed from Kitchen Aid. Unfortunately this design is not very efficient on larger burners and as a result they take longer to boil and heat up in general. The older ones are made in Italy and these new ones are made in Thailand. I guess Costco saw the increasing value of the Euro eating into profits so they moved to a supplier in Thailand and while they were at it reduced the quality of the product. Typical and expected for a giant American retailer. Too bad though, the older ones were a very good deal. Stay away from these Thai made ones they are infereior and retail for about the same as the older italian made version. More profit for Costco less quality for you! The very positive reviews that you read on this cookware are reviews for the older italian made version. I am not sure when they switched, i would say between 2006 and early 2008.

We bought this product because Amazon said in their bullets “Dishwasher safe, but handwashing recommended.” But in fact, the care instructions that come with the product are very specific NOT to put it in the dishwasher, that it completely VOIDS the warranty.
This is frustrating because no matter how hard we try, we cannot teach my mother, who lives with us, NOT to put pots and pans in the dishwasher! We bought these thinking we’d be OK– she would not ruin them– and now it’s hopeless to even think about getting them all back in the box to ship them back (the care instructions were at the bottom). I could scream.

I have owned two “Analon” products for a little over a year. I am now removing them from my kitchen. They no longer have any nonstick qualities whatsoever…. and it’s not because I overheated them. I would not advise anyone to purchase “Analon” pots or pans. They are a big fat rip-off as far as I am concerned. I paid big money for these products less than 18 months ago… OH WELL… Stainless is Painless!

Got a simliar set almost thirteen years ago as a wedding present. It’s been through a family a four, here are my pros and cons:
Pros: Heavy which means even heating and better temperature control.
Handles are sturdy, they’re solid even after years of use
Stainless steel elements of the cookware are solid. They look as
good as the day that we got them. Clean up beautifully.
The size of the skillet is perfect for cooking large amounts of
food. Hard to find a reasonably priced skillet in this size. It’s
been a favorite of mine. Steamer size is also good for family
style cooking amounts.
Cons: The surface is unforgiving. Do not, under any circumstances, put
it in the dishwasher. My mother in law did this with one of the
pans after I had it for a year and KILLED the non-stick surface.
This was quite an unhappy surprise, considering that I’ve purchased
cheap teflon skillets at Kmart that have performed better than
that! Your heating capabilities are limited also, because of it.
Clean up on the inside is easy. Cleanup on the outside can be a
challenge if something oily spills onto it and isn’t immediately
and completely removed. Gooey, no problem. Baked on grease is the
issue.
Because of the handwashing issue, because of the limitations of the surface, those would be the reasons why I wouldn’t buy this set again. It’s sturdy, that’s for sure. I would consider this a reasonable value for the money. However, if I’m going to invest further into my cookware, I’m going heavy stainless steel and will forevermore bypass the non-stick stuff. I want soemthing that I can slap into the dishwasher and use an SOS pad on it for quick cleanups. Gone are the days where I want to fuss with my kitchenware. I don’t want to spend my time on it and I don’t want one mistake with cleanup killing my investment.
