I am very pleased with the American Kitchen 10-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set. I have handwashed the pots and pans so far and they have been easy to wash and are cooking eveningly just like they said. I love them and they are made in the USA. The quality passed my exspectations and I would recommend these to anyone who would like a really nice set of Stainless Steel Cookware. I have looked at almost every brand out there and I do think that I made the right choice.

I just received this set today. I washed and dried all ten pieces and am cooking dinner right now. First off, I am thrilled to find a cookware set made in the USA. There are a couple of things I am not thrilled with though.
For starters, an aluminum/stainless disc is adhered to the bottom of the pot. It is not one-piece construction. I’m worried about five or ten years down the road, will the disc still be adhered properly so as not to retain water from washing. Second, the lids don’t seem that substantial. If you push on the glass (when washing) there is some give and movement of the glass in the lid base. Next, the metal lid base is not one piece construction; it is seamed. I noticed when drying the pieces that water is retained inside the metal construction of the lids and drains out later into the dried pot.
As far as cooking goes, I see no problems so far. The book says to only use low or medium heat. I also olive oiled the non-stick coating as the book says.
My mother has had a US made Saladmaster cookware set for forty years and the pots/pans are still going strong. Very heavy solid one-piece construction. I was hoping for similar with this set. For $200, I suppose you get what you pay for. In my opinion, this set is cheaply made in the USA.
I gave the product four stars because the set does what it’s supposed to: cook. However, I’m tired of buying stuff that does not last, only to replace it in a few years… This set does not have the feel of durability.

I bought this cookware set because it’s made in the United States, so I’m not unhappy about my decision and I would do the same thing again today.
The build quality is exactly as high quality as one would expect. No lead, formaldehyde or whatever else you might find in pans from abroad. The set is an incredible deal, but there are a few drawbacks.
Pros:
- Great build quality, very nicely made for the price
- Pan handles stay pretty cool
- Transfers heat from the burners as well as some pans twice the price
Cons:
- My biggest problem with this set is the steel surfaces. Other reviewers have said that it’s just how steel is, but I went to this set from a Faberware stainless set, and it was MUCH easier to clean and didn’t discolor nearly as much as this set. I mean, with these pans, you boil a piece of chicken, and you’ll spend half an hour getting the pan clean again, and I just don’t know why that is.
- The handles on the lids get so hot they are almost purposeless.
- As other have mentioned, the pan handles have an awkward shape.
- These things are heavy! (not entirely sure this is a ‘con’)
